A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a specific email mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise said, if you remove an email address and somebody still sends a message to it, or to any misspelled email address under the very same domain, you will get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential in case you run a company, for instance. Since you may start receiving unsolicited email messages, you can use the catch-all feature with email filters so as to get only legitimate email messages in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Web Hosting

You’ll be able to create a catch-all mailbox without effort if you have a shared web hosting account with us. The Email Manager in our in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet surprisingly simple to work with, and it will enable you to enable different options, including the catch-all one, with just several clicks. All the email addresses that you have created will be enumerated in alphabetical order in this section and to the right of each one you will notice a tiny "Catch-all" symbol. Clicking on it once will activate this feature, clicking on it for a second time will disable it. As you can have just one such mailbox per domain name, our system will notify you if you already have a different one with this option enabled or if you’ve got enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all address can be created with a couple of clicks if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server with our company. The hosting account will be administered through our custom-developed Hepsia Control Panel and you will be able to set up mailboxes with any domain hosted there. To enable the catch-all option for a given mailbox, you’ll have to click the icon with the same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox. Deactivating the feature can be achieved in the exact same way and will not require more than a click either. In case the catch-all functionality has already been activated for a given domain, you’ll receive a warning. The same is valid if the mailbox that you wish to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never modify or deactivate anything automatically.
